The Work We Can Do Together

People come to therapy for so many different reasons. Sometimes there is a clear moment that brings you in, a relationship rupture, a loss, a transition, or an experience you do not need to carry on your own. Other times, it’s harder to name. You may simply know that you’re tired of feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns you don’t know how to change.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet.

Finding Your Way Back to Yourself

In individual therapy, I’m interested in understanding you as a whole person, not reducing your experience to a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

Our work may involve exploring experiences from your past, being curious as to why certain patterns keep showing up, learning to recognize and communicate your needs, or creating boundaries that allow you to have more room for yourself.

I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, chronic illness, major life changes, self-esteem, people-pleasing, burnout, and those moments when you simply aren't sure who you are or where you're going next.

Sometimes therapy is about healing something painful. Sometimes it's about discovering yourself. Often, it's a little bit of both.

Helping Relationships Feel Like a Team Again

When relationships are hurting, even small conversations can begin to feel loaded. You may find yourselves having different versions of the same argument, struggling to feel heard, avoiding difficult conversations altogether, or wondering how you became so disconnected from someone you love.

My role isn't to take sides or determine who is right.

Instead, I help partners become curious about what is happening between them and the patterns underneath the arguments, the needs that aren't being communicated, and the places where hurt or disconnection may be getting in the way of understanding one another.

My training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy provides an evidence-based foundation for this work, while my approach remains warm, collaborative, and responsive to the unique relationship sitting in front of me.

We may work toward communicating differently, repairing trust after betrayal, navigating conflict with greater care, rebuilding friendship and intimacy, strengthening emotional connection, or simply learning how to find one another again.

There isn't one correct way to have a healthy relationship. I'm interested in helping you create a relationship that feels healthy and meaningful with others and yourself.

A Place to Talk Honestly and Openly About Sex

Sexuality can be joyful, complicated, vulnerable, confusing, exciting, painful and sometimes many of those things at once.

As a Certified Sex Therapist through the Texas Sex Therapy Institute, I have specialized training in helping people navigate concerns related to sex, intimacy, desire, pleasure, identity, and relationships.

My work includes sexual desire differences, sexual pain and vaginismus, navigating chronic illness and sex, intimacy concerns, sexual shame, difficulty communicating about sex, infidelity and betrayal, trauma, sexuality and identity exploration, and changes in sexual connection throughout relationships and life transitions.

I also have a particular passion for working with kink, BDSM, consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, and alternative relationship structures and lifestyles.

These parts of your life will not automatically be treated as the source of a problem simply because they fall outside traditional expectations.

We can talk about the things that are important to you such as communication, consent, boundaries, pleasure, connection, compatibility, identity, trust, vulnerability, and what you want your relationships and sexuality to feel like.

What It Feels Like to Work With Me

I bring warmth, curiosity, compassion, collaboration, and authenticity into the room. I will listen deeply, but I will also engage with you. We can notice patterns together, ask difficult questions, celebrate progress, sit with grief, make room for humor, and be curious about the parts of yourself you may have learned to judge.

There is no expectation that you arrive as the most polished version of yourself.

You can be uncertain. You can have complicated feelings. You can laugh in the middle of something heavy. You can say, “I don't know.” You can need more time.

Therapy isn't about turning you into someone else. It's about creating enough safety, understanding, and self-trust for you to become more fully yourself.

Education & Professional Background

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University's CACREP-accredited counseling program.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Certified Sex Therapist (CST), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and EMDR Trained.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, which means I believe you are the expert on your own experiences. Rather than approaching therapy with the idea that I need to “fix” you, I strive to create a relationship where you feel genuinely heard, understood, respected, and accepted. We work collaboratively, honoring your needs, values, identities, boundaries, and pace throughout the therapeutic process.

My professional training includes specialized education in sex therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, relationship therapy, trauma-informed care, and EMDR, with additional areas of focus including kink and BDSM-affirming care, alternative relationship structures, chronic illness, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and neurodivergent-affirming therapy.

Before and throughout my work in private practice, I have had the opportunity to support people across a variety of mental health settings, including behavioral health hospitals, nonprofit organizations, day treatment programs, community agencies, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside people with many different stories, needs, identities, and life experiences.

My education and training provide the foundation for my work, but I believe being a therapist also requires continued curiosity, humility, and a willingness to keep learning. My goal is to bring both clinical knowledge and genuine humanity into the therapy room so you can feel supported by someone who sees you as a person.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll most likely find me spending time with my family, my dogs, and my cat. I'm also happiest wandering through a bookstore with no particular plan while drinking a matcha, getting lost in a good book, watching a horror movie, or simply being at home with a cozy blanket. Music is also a passion in my life, and attending concerts is one of my favorite ways to spend my free time.

I believe there is something meaningful about trying to make room for the things that bring us joy, curiosity, connection, rest, and a sense of being ourselves. As someone who lives with chronic illness and is neurodivergent, I also understand personally that making space for those things isn't always as simple as it sounds. Some days, our bodies, our energy, or the demands of simply moving through the world can make even the things we love feel difficult or out of reach.

Through my own experiences attending therapy as well, I've learned that making room for joy doesn't have to mean doing more. Sometimes it looks like honoring what your body needs, finding comfort in something familiar, allowing yourself to rest without earning it first, or appreciating the small moments of connection that help you feel a little more like yourself.

I try to offer myself that same compassion and flexibility in my own life, too. There is no perfect way to care for yourself, and sometimes simply meeting yourself where you are is enough.
